1. How do I care for my toupe? Can I wash it?
Care leaflets are given with the purchase of all new Hairaisers wigs but some points to remember are:

• Always use wide toothcomb or wig brush.
• Avoid exposing your wig to heat (especially if made from modacrylic fibre).
• Only use recommended hair products.

2. Will my wig stay on?
Most wigs are made on a stretch base and cling well to the head. There are adjusters at the back to tighten or loosen to ensure a more secure fit. Your wig consultant can advise if any minor adjustment should be made. In some cases double sided tape may be recommended.

3. Can I change the colour of my hairpiece or wig?
The colour of modacrylic fibre wigs cannot be changed, and for real hair wigs and hairpieces Hairaiser recommended you seek professional advice.

4. Can I cut my toupe?
Yes but Hairaisers recommend that any styling be done by a professional wig stylist.

5. Can I blow dry, tong or use hair straighteners on my wig?
No. Direct heat may be applied to any modacrylic wigs. Real hair wigs can be styled as your own hair but too frequent or vigorous styling however will reduce the life span and appearance of your wig.

6. How long will my hairpiece last?
The life span of any hairpiece can be prolonged with careful handling, although prolonged direct sunlight may affect the colour and texture over time. We often recommend that 2 hairpieces/wigs/toupes are purchased and worn in rotation.
